On January 17, 2018, I went to VMC Urgent Care and was admitted after the doctors found tumors in my left lung , left adrenal gland and my brain.
The diagnosis is Metastatis Adenoscomous Carcinoma. In other terms, I have non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has spread to my brain and adrenal gland. I am considered stage four. There is no Stage five.
On 1/29/18, the large brain tumor was removed with Surgery. The tumor was about the size of a lime or golf ball and was located just above my right ear and behind my temple and situated between the frontal and parietal lobes.
I was released from the hospital on 2/1/18.
On 2/28/18, I began taking Tagrisso 80mg which is targeted pill therapy.
I am home now resting and trying to understand all there is to know about my type of cancer so that I can be a survivor of this disease.
